Daddy, Jaxon and baby Ginny in the hospital

Jaxon loving his baby sister!

I just had to add this picture of my little cowboy. He has recently started wanting to wear hats. He is way cute in them!

We were set to be induced that morning at 9:00 am but she decided she could not wait any longer! I started having contractions at 8pm on Wednesday night and thought it was the regular evening contractions. So I just kept on going like normal. At 10pm I was hurting quite badly and decided a nice hot shower should do the trick to help me relax and go to sleep. I thought I was just excited for the next day and that is why I could not really relax. So I showered and it stopped the contractions and I felt great. I went to sleep and about an hour later I woke up in excruciating pain! Stuart thought I was being dramatic J and just kept on sleeping. Well I couldn’t go back to sleep and finally decided that at 1am I couldn’t take the pain any more and that Ginny was coming. (I think I was in the state of denial because I was really looking forward to being induced and the convenience that came along with that.) So I… I mean Stuart, called my sister and asked her if we could drop Jaxon off. And we were off to the hospital. Yes I wanted Stuart to run every red light and yes I was a little harsh in the way I was speaking to him. (Sorry babe! I love you)

When we finally got to the hospital I thought they couldn’t take any longer to get my epidural. It took over an hour and a half to get me all set up. I was having contractions every 2 minuets and I wasn’t sure that it was ever going to stop. Then I finally got the epidural and life was great after that. Stuart slept and I laid there in excitement, slept a little, but mostly thought of what this new baby meant for our little family. They came and checked me about every two hours. The nurse decided to wait until the new nurse was going to be on at 6 to do my next check. I kept asking when she was going to check me because I was certain Ginny was right there. Well Dr. Huish came in when he was making his rounds and I asked him to check. When he checked he said that her head is right there and she should be here in no time. We quickly called Stuart’s Mom and my dad and told them to hurry. Dr. Huish said he wanted me to push to see exactly where we were at and I did. Stuart’s eyes lit right up. He could see her head. It was crazy. So I pushed again and Ginny was almost here. Dr. Huish said that if we wanted our parents here that we better wait between the next contractions. So we waited, only for one contraction, and then they walked in at the exact same time. Perfect!! So I pushed one last time and she was here. They put her up on my lap and I just got to hold her and see her beautiful face. Straight from Heaven sent from some people I love very much. What a miracle she is.

We got to come home on Friday and be with Jaxon who just loves the “baby.” He shares his cars and her pacifier just great! He is going to be a wonderful big brother.

I cannot explain the peace I felt in that hospital room. It was calm and the spirit was in the room. My mom was there, I am certain of that. I want my baby girl to know that your mommy loves you. Your daddy loves you. You have so many people who love and care for you. You are a precious gift from our Heavenly Father and I will always remember the peace you brought into our lives that early February morning. Thank you for choosing to come to our family. You are so special. I love you baby girl!

Ginny is breast feeding like a champ! She is such a good baby and is healthy!! I am so happy about that. I am feeling great. I can get on the ground and play blocks and cars with Jaxon and I can hold him and love him just like I wanted to. It is such a blessing that we were able to have this baby girl with out any complications. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for the many blessings our family has had over the last 10 months. I know a child being born with out complications is a miracle. She is my little miracle!

That is so awesome! Congratulations. I was asking everyone on Friday night if they had heard anything, I must have been sensing your homecoming!
That sounds a lot like how Maddi was born. You know when it's the real thing...Dramatic or not... they aren't poppin out any watermelon's, so husbands have no say.

Congrats! She is adorable!

Ryan was supposed to bring you guys some cookies over last week since he didn't come hometeaching, but we figured that since we were all sick we should stay away with the new baby coming. We'll make it up when we are well again-hopefully it will be soon.
