My neice, Ellie (Erick's & Melissa's daughter) who is 2 years old swallowed a quarter slightly on accident. We looked up on the internet how dangerous this is. When we couldn't find the exact answer that we wanted we called my cousin who is a Dr. He said, "You need to take her to the ER right now." Two hours later or so we found out that the quarter may not (at the moment) be obstructing the air way, but coughing or really anything it could quickly obstruct the airway. She then would not be able to breathe and doing the heimlich maneuver would be rather difficult because quarters are so heavy. (My family decided that we keep our guardian angels on their toes.) So 4 hours later we found out that she was blessed to have the quarter pass through the large intestine and was in the small intestine. Meaning she would digest it in a few days. What a night! So when your child swallows money you need to go get an x-ray and make sure that it has been digested correctly!

Hey Shana!
I can't believe your little boy is 9 months old! Brooke (my little baby) will be 9 months in a few days! That is so fun that our babies are so close in age! Isn't it the best? YOu look so great, and your family is adorable!
